Factory Visits and Local Representation
Some things only change once someone is actually in the room. Maria Carolina goes to the factory on your behalf and reports back that same week.
A factory walkthrough
Who this service is for
Buyers who can't travel, whose project has stalled over email, or who'd rather make a decision in one meeting than trade messages back and forth for three weeks.
What a visit covers
- Meeting the people who actually make your product, not just the sales contact.
- Reviewing samples and open technical points on site, in front of the production line.
- Negotiating price, minimum order quantity, production lead time and payment terms face to face.
- Following up during production to catch delays while they can still be corrected.
- Representing you at a trade show or in supplier meetings when agreed in advance.
What you get
- A dated visit report: who attended, what was agreed, and what's still open.
- Photos and video of the visit, subject to the factory's permission.
- A written follow-up list with owners and dates.
How representation works
Representation means we speak on your behalf within limits you set in writing: what we can agree to, what we can't, and what has to come back to you for a decision. We don't sign contracts on your behalf unless you've given us written authorization for that specific document.
What stays your responsibility
Where our responsibility ends. We coordinate and document. The factory is responsible for its own production and for complying with the laws of its country. You are the importer: you decide the technical, safety, labeling and certification requirements for your destination market, and we inspect against the standard you define. Your customs broker handles classification, duties and clearance; damage in transit is a matter for cargo insurance. This is set out in the terms and conditions.
Visit questions
Where can you visit?
We travel to the factory, wherever it is in China. Long-distance travel is quoted separately, including time and cost, before the visit is booked.
Can I join by video call?
Yes, and it's usually the best option: we're in the room, you're on the call, and decisions get made on the spot.
Will you visit a factory before I place an order?
Yes. That's a verification visit; see supplier verification and factory audits.
Send someone to the factory
Tell us the factory, the city, and what needs to be resolved. We'll tell you what the visit would involve.
